PADI Specialty courses
If you are interested in a certain field of scuba diving, we can offer you several different PADI Specialty Diver Courses. All courses will be conducted during normal diving trips to Raya Yai island (except Night Diver Course will be at Yanui Beach in Phuket.)
For some Specialty courses, though not all, it is required that you are an Advanced Open Water Diver. In addition, the dives that you have done on your Advanced Course can also be credited towards your Specialty rating. This is why the number of dives needed for certification can be different depending on what dives you did on your Advanced Course. Here you can find a brief explanation of the Specialty Courses we offer. Schedules can be customized and are quite flexible so if you need more information please contact us by email so we can build a course program to suit your requirements.
DIGITAL UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY
Get into the fascinating world of taking photos under the water. The course guides you in proper planning, organization, procedures and techniques of digital underwater photography. Camera handling techniques, preparation, care and maintenance are also included in the program. Program includes 2 dives and can be done in 1 day.

ENRICHED AIR NITROX
Diving with enriched air is becoming more and more common. The benefit of diving with Nitrox is that you can extend your bottom times remarkably in 20-30 meter depth area. However, your diving equipment must be configured properly, gas must be analyzed and dives require special planning, these are the key components you learn during the course.

UNDERWATER NATURALIST
This course is an introduction to aquatic life. During the course you will learn planning, techniques, problems and hazards of diving in different aquatic environments. You also get an overview of basic aquatic life. The Program includes 2 dives and can be done in 1 day.

PEAK PERFORMANCE BUOYANCY
When you start your diving career you soon find out that buoyancy control is definitely one of the key elements of scuba diving. The purpose of this course is to polish a diver’s buoyancy skills beyond the Open Water Diver level. Program includes 2 dives and can be done in 1 day.

MULTILEVEL DIVER
When planning your dives as multilevel dives, you gain much more bottom time rather than just planning them to one depth level. During the course you learn the planning, techniques and hazards of multilevel diving. Diving computers and PADI Wheel are also part of the course and we teach you how to use these pieces of equipment in your dive plans. Program includes 2 dives and can be done in 1 day.

UNDERWATER NAVIGATOR
Improving your underwater navigation skills is the aim of this course. You learn methods of estimating distances underwater, natural and compass navigation techniques. Program includes 2 dives and can be done in 1 day.

A.W.A.R.E. FISH ID
This course is designed to introduce divers to the most common families and species of fish found in temperate and tropical waters. You will learn basic fish identification and scientific surveying techniques. Program includes 2 dives and can be done in 1 day.

NIGHT DIVER
During this course you learn the skills, knowledge and techniques necessary to safely participate in night-diving activities. This includes also buoyancy control, the use of dive lights and effective buddy system procedures. Program includes 3 dives and can be done in 2 evenings.

DRIFT DIVER
Drift diving is a common procedure in many diving destinations in the world. The aim of this course is to learn the planning, procedures, techniques and hazards of drift diving. During the drift dives you concentrate on buoyancy control, navigation and buddy system procedures. Program includes 2 dives and can be done in 1 day.

DEEP DIVER
Diving deeper down to recreational diving depth limits can be done safely when learning the proper planning and diving techniques. During the course you will learn about risk factors and the use of special equipment when diving down to the 30-40 meter depth level. Course includes 4 dives and can be done in 2 days.

WRECK DIVER
Wreck diving can be one of the most interesting specialty areas of scuba diving. However, it includes certain special techniques, special equipment and planning procedures that need to be learned in order to do it safely. You will also learn limited-visibility diving techniques and emergency procedures. Program includes 4 dives and can be done in 2 days.
