Diving in Phuket – Popular holiday destination
During the years Phuket has grown to become a very popular holiday destination with many activities for holiday makers. Phuket has many different beaches and hotels to suit everyone. On the west coast of the island are the most popular beaches Patong, Karon and Kata.
Patong is the liveliest of all the Phuket beach areas, famous for its active nightlife and the many shopping possibilities. Karon Beach is a bit more quieter and the nightlife is not so active as in Patong. Karon has a lot of different and very good restaurants and has kilometers of beautiful sandy beaches. Kata Yai and Kata Noi are even more quieter areas, often favored by couples as they have very nice quiet beaches with not much nightlife except for some small bars to get a drink in the evening.
Phuket has many other lovely beaches, such as Naiharn, Kamala and Surin, which have much less tourists and services. It is also possible to stay in the capital of the island, Phuket Town, but the area does not have a beach.
All the best diving and snorkeling is done around Phuket’s nearby islands, of which the most beautiful are Raya Yai and Raya Noi. From Phuket dive trips are made also to King Cruiser wreck, Shark Point, Koh Dok Mai, Hin Dang and Hin Muang, As a specialty Raya Divers also organizes daytrips to the Similan Islands National Park .

Raya Divers 5 Star Dive Center and equipment sales shop is close to the Chalong harbour where our diving trips depart daily. Our dive center is situated right at Chalong Circle, which is a well-known landmark and easy to find.
Our center in Phuket is open: low season (20.4.-20.10.) mon-sat from 10am to 5pm and high season (21.10.-19.4.) every day from 9am to 7pm.
