Phuket is a perfect holiday destination to experience the thrill of big game fishing in a tropical paradise. Phuket enjoys all year round fishing season and it offers great opportunities to catch Giant Trevallies, Tunas, Dorados, Barracudas, Wahoos, Blue Finned Trevallies, Cobias, Mackerels and Rainbow Runners. 

Black Marlin, Sailfish and several species of sharks can also be found within the deeper waters but please note that KALA FISHING COMPANY strongly encourages the practice of "Catch and Release" of Marlin, Sailfish and Sharks.

All boats have electronic fish finders, fighting chair, outriggers, live bait well and professional fishing equipment. Up to 6 lines can be trolled. Both trolling and bottom fishing techniques are being used.

KALA FISHING COMPANY offers two different kind of fishing trips:

 

1. PRO FISHING TRIPS

You want to concentrate to that one important thing: Pull up the biggest catch ever!

  • For serious fisherman
  • Maximum 6 people (+6 non-fishing) on the trip
  • Program includes fishing, fishing and more fishing (trolling & bottom fishing)
  • Lunch is served onboard around 1pm
  • Non-fishing customers can enter the trip for a cheaper price

2. FAMILY FISHING TRIPS

Something for everyone: All the fun activities in one trip!

  • For families and/or people who want to combine fishing with other activities
  • Maximum 15-20 people on a bigger boat
  • Program includes fishing (trolling & bottom fishing), sightseeing, snorkeling and swimming
  • Lunch is served onboard around 1pm

Schedule for both trips: Nov-Apr: every day / May-Oct: on request 

All fishing trips include:

  • Car and boat transfers from your hotel
  • Lunch, coffee, tea and drinking water (soft drinks and beer not included)
  • All fishing equipment and snorkeling equipment
  • Scandinavian fishing guide services

 

AFTER THE TRIP: WHAT TO DO WITH THE FISH?

In case you want, we can arrange with the local high standard sea food restaurant in Chalong Bay (Kan-Eng Seafood) to prepare you a delicious Thai style dinner from the fish that you catched during the day.
